Once a communication has been captured, its type is identified which enables indentification of the appropriate business process which must be used to handle it. The process is started automatically and populated with any captured data and linked to the scanned images if originated by a paper communication.

The process works its way through all of the stages and actions required to complete it, integrating with internal systems and external data providers (address lookup, client checks etc).

If the process requires communications to be sent, this is handled by the EDM Printroom which stores any outgoing correspondence, maintaining a complete record of all received and sent communications.
