JULY 2009

IDMIonline (formerly Green Sheet media) picks up on the news that EDM Group has secured the backing of ECI Partners and HSBC for its business plans. ECI has made available a further £1M of investment.

 

Specialist document management and healthcare publications have reported the announcement that EDM Group has been awarded a contract to digitize 1.9 million patient records for the Mid-Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust. APRIL 2009

 

Sam Ferguson, EDM Group CEO, is joined by the Mayor of Wolverhampton to officially open EDM House, the new EDM Group head office in BilstonA major milestone was reached this month with the completion of EDM Group's move to its new premises in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. Head Office functions had already moved to the new site in late 2008 and with the completion of the move of its production bureau and other services from the old Wolverhampton site, EDM Group is in great shape to face the challenges of the current market conditions. The occasion was marked by a formal opening ceremony officiated by the Mayor of Wolverhampton and attended by local dignitaries and members of the business community.

 

 

IT Director is one of a range of online publications to pick up on the news, which also had strong coverage in the Birmingham Post and Wolverhampton's Express and Star.

 

JANUARY 2009

 

EDM Group is awarded a contract for the conversion of around 1.5 million medical records by the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust. This large contract, valued at £2.3 million, was won in an OJEU-advertised procurement against very stiff competition, consolidating EDM Group's position as a leading provider of document management services to the NHS and wider healthcare sector. This was further reinforced by the award to EDM Group this month of a similar contract for medical records scanning and online hosting services for the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Primary Care Trust.

 

EDM Group has been appointed to a framework contract by Lancashire County Council for the provision of document conversion and storage services and has been awarded the first substantive contract under the framework for the conversion of 105,000 social care files which will yield around 21 million images when converted.
